The two captains -- MS Dhoni and Michael Clarke -- did the honours at a simple function.
The trophy is named after two legends of each country -- Sunil Gavaskar and Allan Border.
The first of the four Test matches will be played in Chennai from February 22–26. The second, third and fourth Tests will be played in Hyderabad, Mohali and Delhi, respectively.
