Auckland Aces continued their winning run in the Champions League T20 2012 as they beat Indian Premier League Champions Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets at Cape Town on Monday.
Former Pakistan all-rounder Azhar Mahmood shined with both bat and ball as he picked up two crucial wickets and later scored an unbeaten half-century to guide the New Zealand team to victory.
With this defeat, Kolkata have a tough ask ahead as they will have to win the next two games to have a strong chance progressing through to the next round.
The Gareth Hopkins led side on the other hand will be happy with the combination that has fired well so far in the tournament and would hope to continue their good run of form.
