Cowan in the third Test at Perth scored 74 runs from 120 balls. Along with David Warner, both of them put a 214 runs partnership before Cowan got dismissed by Umesh Yadav delivery.
Australia has now clinch the series by 3-0. The last Test will begin on Tuesday at Adelaide.
Cowan has impressed selectors and other players since his debut. He has been scoring runs for Austrlia on a regular basis.
On January 9th, a report was published that Cowan is likely to get a $100,000-plus pay rise and is all set to qualify for his maiden Cricket Australia (CA) deal.
