The Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday gave its nod for a bilateral cricket series between India and Pakistan, to be played later this year.

After a gap of four years, Pakistan will tour India for three One-Day Internationals and two T20 internationals between December 25 – January 7, 2013.

The ministry also promised that the Indian government will provide foolproof security to the touring side.

The big development came after a delegation of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) met Union Home Secretary RK Singh in New Delhi.
