Lyon and a few others were in India to practice before the first Test at Chennai and Lyon was there to understand the conditions which are generally conducive for the spinners.
Lyon spoke about the challenge of playing on Indian conditions and said that he watched England's Monty Panesar and Graeme Swann closely and hopes to put up similar performances.
