Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is set to make another record when he takes the field for his home side Mumbai in their Ranji Trophy match against the Railways.

"Sachin and Zaheer are likely to play in Mumbai's Ranji Trophy opener at the Wankhede Stadium. They have expressed their interest to play in the game," said MCA's joint secretary Nitin Dalal confirmed a few days ago.

The match between Mumbai and Railways is scheduled from November 2 to 5.

Tendulkar had last played for Mumbai in the final against Uttar Pradesh in January, 2009, at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi Stadium when the matches in the tournament was held at neutral venues.
