Earlier, after a scintillating century from Australia’s Matthew Wade that gave Australia a lead of 135 runs, Sri Lanka’s Dimuth Karunanatne and Mahela Jayawardene showed great resolve to take Sri Lanka just eight runs short of the Australia total at Tea on Day Three of the Sydney Test.
Continuing from 18 for no-loss at Lunch, Mitchell Johnson got his first wicket of the match when dismissed opener Tilakaratne Dilshan for just five runs, leaving Sri Lanka at 24 for one.
