Bhuvneshwar Kumar is in sublime form these days. Only seven Tests old, Bhuvneshwar already has a world record to his name. He is the only batsman to have scored three fifties batting at No 9. History says that legends have always started out from the lower order, and climbed to the top. And Bhuvneshwar has already begun the climb. With a Lord’s fifty and a five-for to his name, the pacer is on cloud nine ten. However, pace bowlers turning out to be reliable batsmen is not a new in Indian history. In fact India have crushed enough genuine pacers by overburdening with batting responsibilities. Irfan Pathan is one epic case. It was time someone made Bhuvi realise that with success comes all-round responsibilities! Here he is trolled by ‘experts’ pushing him to be another Indian pacer slipping in to the all-rounder zone.
