Delhi Daredevils (DD) will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 26th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Delhi on Saturday. Both the teams have witnessed identical outcome in their previous encounters and will look for resurrection of fortunes in this clash. DD will be high on confidence as they lost their previous game by a whisker, whereas KKR took a stick from Rohit Sharma and Co. KKR have a well-balanced side but their bowling attack looked vulnerable in the previous outing and will look to strengthen it bringing slight changes. Let’s take a look at KKR’s probably XI against DD in Match 26 of IPL 2016: FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Delhi Daredevils vs Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2016, Match 26 at Delhi
Top Order: Their top-order which hails of Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa and Suryakumar Yadav wear a dominant look. Uthappa and Gambhir have maintained a good left-hand, right-hand combination and scored runs on a consistent basis. The duo will once again look to get their team to a good start and guide them to a big score. Suryakumar at three is too tempting; his improvisation is pleasing to the eye and will hope to come up the order as he famously did in the game against Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS).After the experiment of batting Shakib Al Hasan going in vain, KKR might stick to Suryakumar at three.
Middle Order: KKR’s line-uphas been strengthenedwith the inclusion of Chris Lynn but the need for playing an extra bowler will create a dilemma of playing either Lynn or Shakib. Further, they have the likes of Andre Russell, Yusuf Pathan who have looked in good touch and have got the ball rolling from the outset. Rajagopal Sathish is also a healthy option lower down the order along with Piyush Chawla. If Pathan and Russell get going, they will wreck havoc at Delhi and KKR will be certainly hoping the duo to do so.
Lower Order: KKR will mkae sure their bowling unit gets better and with intent to do so, Morne Morkel might get a nod in this game. The pace battery will now hail of Morkel, Umesh Yadav and Russell. Yadav will look to make an early impact chipping wickets. Piyush Chawla will be handy with his wristy leg-spin and will attack in pair with mystery spinner Sunil Narine. The Caribbean spinner bowled best to his abilities and was among wickets, his form is very important for the KKR side as the team banks heavily on him.
KKR’s batting unit and their instant fielding skills has come handy to lead them at the top of the points table. After second loss in the previous game against Mumbai Indians (MI), KKR will aim to get their winning edge back against DD.
Kolkata Knight Riders likely XI (Batting Order): Gautam Gambhir (c), Robin Uthappa (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Chris Lynn/Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, Andre Russell, Rajagopal Sathish, Piyush Chawla, Umesh Yadav, Sunil Narine, Morne Morkel.
