India leave for Australia for 2007-08 Test series

India had a good side as they left for Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Test series in 2007-08. India were to play four Test matches – Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide. Although Australia were still the number one in Test cricket, India were regarded a good enough side to match them on field.

Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly were in form and in Anil Kumble, they had an astute captain.

As the Indian team set-off, Amul released an advertisement encouraging the side for their tough and challenging journey ahead.
