India move to Old Trafford for the second Test of the 2014 tour following the defeat at The Aegas Bowl. Abhishek Mukherjee looks at the key numbers at Lancashire’s historic home ground.

It may come across as a surprise to a lot of people that Old Trafford was the second ground to host a Test on English soil after The Oval and before Lord’s. The cradle of Lancashire cricket has witnessed many a Roses encounter, but it has not been of much help to the Indians, who have not won a single Test on the ground.

Let us have a look at the numbers at Old Trafford, then.

As one can see, there is not much of a difference between the numbers at Old Trafford and the other English grounds. Let us, then, look back at some of the best performers at the historic ground.
