Rajasthan Royals play Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 on May 8. This is Match 30 of IPL 7. Rajasthan are in third position in the Points Table. Hyderabad sit in seventh place in the standings. Pt. Anil Chaubey makes the predictions for the Rajasthan vs Hyderabad match.

After an indifferent start in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014, Rajasthan Royals have won four matches in-a-row to climb up to third position in the table. They have 10 points after seven matches with five wins in total. A victory will keep them in third position, but equal on points with Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings. Sunrisers Hyderabad have not had the best of seasons in the IPL. They have played six matches and lost four to sit at seventh place with four points.

Key Players: Ajinkya Rahane, Shane Watson and Sanju Samson are the players to be key for Rajasthan Royals in this match. It is not a surprise that the trio are important for Rajasthan’s chances, but they have also been consistent. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Shikhar Dhawan, Aaron Finch and David Warner are expected to excel. These are the top-three batsmen and if they get going, the opposition bowlers will find it extremely difficult to keep the runs down.

Who will win: Rajasthan Royals are expected to extend their winning run in IPL 2014 to five matches. They will too good for Hyderabad at Ahmedabad on May 8. This will take Watson’s side to 12 points in the IPL 7 Points Table. Hyderabad will languish in seventh position after the defeat. Dhawan’s team will need a miracle to qualify for the play-offs.
