Kumar Sangakkara needs 2 more dismissals to become most successful wicket-keeper in ODIs

Sri Lankan gloveman Kumar Sangakkara is just two more dismissals away to become the most successful wicket-keeper, in terms of dismissals, in the history of One-Day International (ODI) cricket. Currently former Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist is topping the list with 472 dismissals to his name, whereas Sangakkara has been a part of 471 wickets so far. So he is all set to achieve this milestone in the ongoing series against England.

Sangakkara’s career is already well decorated by by many achievements and when he will finally manage to get past Gilchrist, it will add another feather to his crown. This southpaw has redefined the quality and level of wicket-keeper batsman in international cricket. Former South African wicket-keeper Mark Boucher is placed number three in the list with 425 dismissals, followed by Indian skipper MS Dhoni, with 312.
