Pakistan need 261 in 72 overs against New Zealand to achieve another Test series victory in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Though chasing is not their strength but in past Pakistan have done it few times in the past. Their best chase came against Australia in 1994 in Karachi, where Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed added 57 runs for the last wicket and chased down the target of 315.
Pakistan’s second best chase was against Sri Lanka, which came earlier this year in Sharjah. Misbah-ul Haq’s team achieved the target of 302 in just 57.3 overs. Azhar Ali and Misbah-ul Haq batted Pakistan to victory. Interestingly, in Pakistan’s top five run chases, New Zealand’s name features twice.
