South Africa meet West Indies in the last league match of Tri-Nation series 2016 between West Indies, South Africa and Australia. There is only a hairline chance that West Indies will make it to the final of Tri-series even if they win this fixture. South Africa have won two out of their five games and played one draw due to abandoned match at Barabados against Australia. They have 12 points to their name including two bonus points from their win against Australia and West Indies. The visitors will also make it into the final even if they lose the match but not by a considerable margin that West Indies get a bonus point. They romped over the last time they played against West Indies where Imran Tahir featured with career best figures, taking seven wickets. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: West Indies vs South Afirca, 9th ODI at Barbados

Top Order: Hashim Amla has been the top scorer for South Africa with 225 runs in five games including one century and one half century. He scored 110 against West Indies in their last ODI. Quinton de Kock too is in decent form since IPL. He has struggled to convert starts into big scores but has shared decent opening stands with Amla. Quinton scored 71 in the last ODi against hosts sharing a 182 run-stand with Amla. He will be followed by Faf Du Plessis who has not been in the best of the touches this tournament but scored 73 not out in previous fixture. If things go as planned for visitors Chris Morris might come and struck a few blows at No.3 like he did in previous ODI.

Middle Order: South African middle order features skipper AB de Villiers. He can dismantle any bowling attack on his day. He showed glimpses of his form in the previous match and he side needs him to carry that forward in this game too. Jean-Paul Duminy will come at No. 5. Duminy is going through a rough patch in batting department with just 87 runs in the series. He is followed by Farhaan Behardien who has been able to play only one match-winning innings so far when he scored 62 against Australia in a low scoring match. Chris Morris will be the next in the hierarchy. Morris is known for his hard-hitting abilities which he did in the previous game. He scored a quickfire 40 to speed up the proceedings.

Lower Order: Wayne Parnell has a reputation of scoring a few runs when the chips are down. Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir and Tabraiz Shamsi are not known for their skills with the bat. However, they have been exemplary with the ball.

Tahir picked up seven wickets in the previous game to help South Africa win with a bonus point and increase their chances to enter the Final. Shamsi has been good to in the supporting role and blocking the flow of runs. Rabada has not been in the best of his form with four wickets in five matches. Parnell has been economical in the three matches he bowled picking up four wickets. Morris too has not find his rhythm in this series. Duminy might chip in with a short spell in the middle overs.

South Africa’s Likely XI:

Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock (wk), Faf Du Plessis, AB de Villiers (c), Jean-Paul Duminy, Farhaan Behardien, Chris Morris, Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Tabraiz Shamsi
