West Indies women's cricket team, who were whipped by Australia by 135 runs in their first warm-up game ahead of the ICC Women's World Cup commencing on January 31, have cancelled their second scheduled practice match tomorrow.
"They are jet-lagged and tired. So, they have cancelled the match," said sources.
The Windies were set to meet a Combined Mumbai XI in their second and last tune-up match before taking on hosts India in their Group A tournament opener at the Cricket Club of India's Brabourne Stadium on January 31, a day-night fixture.
In today's warm-up match against the Windies, Australia rattled up a huge 335 for five in 50 overs by riding on half century knocks from Elyse Villani, Rachael Haynes, Jess Cameron and Lisa Sthalekar.
The Aussies then bowled out the Caribbean side for 198 in 44.3 overs, Sthalekar completing a good game with a haul of two wickets, to emerge comfortable winners.
