Brad Haddin is set to cut short is West Indies tour and will return home for personal reasons after been granted leave.
"New South Wales wicketkeeper-batsman Peter Nevill will join the squad in coming days and Brad's return will be determined in due course," a Cricket Australia statement said Friday.
Matthew Wade replaced Haddin as Australia's limited-overs wicketkeeper during the Australian summer, and the young keeper is now expected to be selected for Australia's opening one-day match against the West Indies in Kingstown, St. Vincent, on Friday.
"Brad Haddin is in transit returning to Australia for personal reasons and has the full support of CA and his teammates in doing so," national selector John Inverarity said.
"We hope that Brad will be able to rejoin the squad in the West Indies in the not too distant future."
