The start of the Champions League T20 2012 match between local team Titans and Delhi Daredevils at the SuperSport Park was delayed due to bad weather on Tuesday.
Ross Taylor will stand in as a captain for Mahela Jayawardene, as Delhi Daredevils will take on the tournament favourites Titans.
Titans skipper Martin van Jaarsveld had earlier won the toss and elected to field.
Both Titans and Dehi have qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament.
The cut-off time for a five-over per side match is 08.10 pm local time.
