Titans’ provided an all-round performance to crush the Auckland Aces by 60 runs in their Champions League Twenty20 group A match at Durban on Wednesday.
Ethy Mbhalati and Alfonso Thomas took three wickets each as they registered the win with 11 balls remaining.
Andre Adams was the top scorer for the Auckland Aces, scoring 30 off 17 balls.
Earlier, opener Jacques Rudolph smashed 63 to guide his team to a total of 172 against Auckland Aces on Wednesday in their Champions League group A match at Durban.
Henry Davids contributed 36 in the 74 runs partnership before he was bowled by Azhar Mahmood in the ninth over.
Rudolph hit seven boundaries at a strike rate of 112.50.
Farhaan Behardien also proved his worth as he scored 48 off 23 balls, to guide the Titans to the challenging total. He hit a six off the last ball of the innings to a Mahmood full toss on the leg side.
Titans lost four wickets in the second half of their innings.
Skipper Martin van Jaarsveld was dismissed by Kyle Mills on 13. Van Jaarsveld was caught on deep mid-wicket by Martin Guptill.
Earlier, Auckland Aces captain Gareth Hopkins won the toss and elected to field against the Titans in their Group A match of the Champions League Twenty20 tournament at Kingsmead in Durban.
