Australian batsman Callum Ferguson is delighted to find his name in the national squad for the upcoming limited-overs series against Pakistan in United Arab Emirates.
Ferguson is upbeat of performing to his potential against Pakistan in the upcoming One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 series.
"I'm getting back to possibly my fastest in the field," said the Australian batsman.
The aggressive batsman who averages 41.43 from 30 ODIs has played five ODI matches since the knee injury which halted his rising curve in international cricket.
Ferguson was delighted to be recalled into the national team albeit not being a part of the national squad surprises him.
He was quoted by Sydney Morning Herald as saying, "It was a nice little surprise getting an email and a phone call last night from selector John Inverarity.
"It was a huge surprise having not been a part of the squad for so long.
"At the same time I am absolutely over the moon and can't wait to get started."
Australia face off with Pakistan in three-match ODI series, starting August 28 followed by first T20 international on September 5.
