Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field in their Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Gautam Gambhir led Kolkata are second in the points table and a win would take them to the first spot. On the other hand, a win for Chennai would help them strengthen their play-off qualification chances.
Kolkata made three changes to their line-up from the previous game with Brendon McCullum, Laxmipathy Balaji and Marchant de Lange replacing Manvinder Bisla, Shakib Al Hasan and Brett Lee. Chennai made only one change as Faf du Plessis came in for Albie Morkel.
