Indian middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is set to start a new innings off the field, as he has got engaged to Rajkot-based Pooja Pabari in a simple ceremony.
Pujara’s engagement was a simple ceremony held in the city, attended by Saurashtra captain Jaydev Shah – the only cricketer to be present at the function.
The 22-year-old Pooja has completed her MBA in retail management, and hails from Jamjodhpur in Jamnagar district in Gujarat, Mumbai Mirror reported.
The 24-year-old cricketer’s father, Arvinda Pujara informed, “We decided to have a low-key affair at a city hotel.”
Due to Pujara’s packed cricketing schedule, the date of the marriage hasn’t been fixed yet. “The marriage will not take place in the near future as Cheteshwar has a very tight schedule for the next few months.”
His father added, “It was an arranged marriage. But happening with the consent of both of them.”
