Australian and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) middle-order batsman Micheal Hussey on Thursday credited the game of cricket for his on and off field development as an individual.
While talking about the influence of the game on his life he said, “Cricket has opened many doors of opportunity for me. It has helped me in developing myself as an individual on and off the field. Cricket Education Program has been written by Cricket Australia to help children and shape them into quality sportspeople and it is fantastic to see the response in India."
"I am very confident about the fact that a systematic learning program will help teach the basics at a young age. With the right basics in place, a child can learn and adapt more easily and successfully to succeed in the different formats of modern cricket,” added the CSK star batsman.
He further spoke about the importance of handling stress and other aspects of a cricketer’s life. He said,“To become a successful cricketer one needs to develop decision making confidence, the ability to perform under pressure and adaptability to different environments as well as your cricket techniques and skills."
