The Delhi traffic police is making special arrangements for parking of vehicles, traffic circulation and pedestrian movement in and around the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium for the second One-Day International between India and England on Monday, October 17.
The traffic police has issued a traffic advisory on Saturday, informing that there is limited parking space available for labelled vehicles in the proximity of the stadium on the match day.
The fans coming to watch the match can avail of the ‘Park and Ride’ facility, which is available at Mata Sundari Parking and Shanti Van Parking. They can also walk down to the stadium from the parkings, The Hindu reported.
Also, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) would operate special buses Pragati Maidan and New Delhi metro station.
While there are no specific plans of traffic diversion, the police have advised people to avoid Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Kamla Market roundabout to Rajghat), Asaf Ali Road (Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate) and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (Ram Charan Agarwal Chowk to Delhi Gate) on October 17 from 12 noon to 3-30 p.m. and 9-30 p.m. to 11-30 p.m.
