Tarot reader Shruti Chopra looks into her cards to give CricketCountry.com readers exclusive insights into what lies ahead in the IPL matches. In the below piece, she dwells into the Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Daredevils game on Friday.
---
The Super Kings have come into this game with their sheer determination, but mentally they do feel the pressure. The Ten of Wands shows them wanting to get everything in place all at once. They will work on the slightest of issues for it to not hinder their path to success. Majority of their cards show them being careful and making sure they build stable foundations in all areas of their game. They will quietly look to sneak up to the opposition. Like the King of Cups, they will be quite deceiving.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni won't have the best start with the bat. But like the mature Emperor, he will look to play a wise innings. He will balance himself and pick up the pace at will. As a captain he will be quick in implementing his plans and like the Moon, he will hound the opposition with his clever ideas.
Key players
Michael Hussey will have a sedate yet balanced start. Like the Seven of Pentacles he will eventually find runs beginning to flow.
Murali Vijay will look energetic and should be wary of over enthusiasm, especially as he has the Ace of Pentacles & Cups showing his strong start. The key will be to remain calm, if he wishes to capitalise on this start.
Suresh Raina is like the Sun and exudes positivity. He will look to make the most of this opportunity and make runs.
Ravindra Jadeja will look to play a controlled and steady innings. Like the Strength card, he will remain determined and strong in an all-round performance.
Dwayne Bravo will be aggressive and charge at the opposition. He will come up with an all-round display.
Albie Morkel will have a productive day with the bat. As a bowler he will be quite deceptive like the Seven of Cups,
Ben Hilfenhaus will be on top of his game. The Two of Wands, shows good rhythm, which will bring out a confident bowling display.
Shadab Jakati will adapt himself well; have great energy and will apply all that he knows. A good day for him.
The Daredevils are like the Nine of Cups – looking content and confident. Despite this, they will need to be careful of getting confused in their game plans and getting too complacent. The combination of the Emperor and the Four of Cups, shows their ability to cleverly grab on to the slightest opportunity given by the opposition. The positive about Delhi will be their strong team work, but they will need to be careful with their fielding.
Virender Sehwag is like the Four of Pentacles, looking to accumulate runs and head the batting attack. He will look to provide a strong opening and will be able to do so. As a captain, he will have a good start. He will look confident, but will need to be wary of getting complacent.
Key players
David Warner will be part of a strong partnership, and like the Judgement card, he will believe it's important for him to see it through.
Mahela Jayawardene will have a good start, but with the Three of Wands, he will begin to look shaky in his batting.
Ross Taylor will have a tough start. He will look to build his innings and with the World card, he has the ability to increase his strike rate quite quickly.
Irfan Pathan will carry a lot of expectations. He will be economical with the ball and be able to make runs.
Morne Morkel will have a wayward day. Some moments of brilliance with the Wheel of Fortune, but otherwise a tough day.
Umesh Yadav will work hard and achieve results. The Tower card does indicate him having to overcome a lot of difficulties. Success won't come easily.
Shahbaz Nadeem will bowl well and in good rhythm. A good day for him.
Pawan Negi, like the Nine of Wands, is looking nervous, but despite this he will have some strong moments.

Chennai Super Kings.
