England suffer another injury scare in form of Ian Bell

Middle-order batsman Ian Bell gave England injury headache when he was taken to a hospital for “precautionary” X-Ray on his left wrist, after he was hit during a training session.
England are set to take on Pakistan in their first Test, which begins on Tuesday, January 17 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Initial reports suggest that Bell's injury is not serious, but if he misses the opening Test, Ravi Bopara is likely to be drafted in. The tourists had another injury scare in form of Stuart Broad, who was hit on the foot while batting at nets on Sunday, is expected to play in the first Test against Pakistan starting on Tuesday. There were no major concerns over the injury, and it was hoped Broad would be able to bowl in the match said an England team spokesman. Broad too confirmed via twitter that the injury was not going to trouble him for long and there was no need for a scan. “Afternoon with my foot up being iced,” he wrote. “Jimmy Anderson got me with an inswinging yorker in the nets . . . bowling tomorrow, so no worries . . .” The 25-year-old pacer was struck by a ball into his left foot while batting during England’s practice session at the ICC’s Global Academy.
