Former India player and eminent coach Sujith Somasundar will join Kerala Cricket Association as the consultant head coach.
The assignment will be to coach the state senior team for the upcoming season, the KCA said in a release.
Sujith, who hails from Karnataka, had represented India as an opening batsman in the one-day tri-series against Australia and South Africa, and has also played for Karnataka and Kerala.
He had played 99 first class games and was the captain of Karnataka for three years.
Sujith had also served as the batting coach for National Cricket Academy, a coaching faculty for various sports and a mentor for many teams. (PTI)
