The International Cricket Council (ICC) representatives on Monday inspected the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association's (HPCA) stadium to check its suitability for hosting international matches.
Former Australian player David Boon, who is currently a match referee with the ICC, inspected the pitch. The inspection went on for the whole day after which he returned to Delhi.
"The ground could hold international matches if the ICC finds it suitable and makes a recommendation. The report will be submitted by David Boon," Vishal Marwaha, HPCA secretary was quoted saying in TOI.
The venue is situated at a height of 1,457 metres above sea level and has snow-capped mountains in the backdrop. The Pakistan national cricket team was the first international team that played a tour match against Indian Board President's XI in Dharamshala in 2005.
