Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo praised skipper Dhoni by saying, he looks upto the Indian skipper during pressure situations.

“Given the pressure in these games, I sometimes look at him and wonder how he manages to remain so calm. I am fortunate to bat with him and I would say that it is one of the highlights of my career. His reading of the game is excellent and is clear on what he wants to do.”

Dwayne Bravo has been one of the mainstay down the order along with Albie Morkel scoring quick runs during the death overs. “In T20 that is a luxury that no one has. You can come in at any stage of the match. My value to the team is in my versatility and I will bat wherever I am asked to. I just hope to contribute to the winning effort of my team. I am hitting the ball well now and it will be good to get some more runs for the team. I am also happy with my bowling,” said the West-Indian.

He also said that Chennai’s results this season has been unusually inconsistent. “To be honest it’s been a little up and down. We have not been consistent in our performances. However, it’s a long championship and we have enough of games to bounce back and come back strongly. As a team we are aware of our mistakes and we have been practicing to try and reduce them. The team has the depth and quality of players to post better performances. We are confident of our abilities and we are looking forward to win some games.”

He also said that losses don’t affect the team much, however home games will be crucial and his team should look to collect points in those games.

Before moving to Chennai Super Kings, Bravo used to represent Mumbai Indians, and was later picked up by Chennai in the auction before IPL 3. His performances during his stint woth Mumbai weren’t too noticeable, however things have changed while playing for Chennai.

“I came into the IPL Championship on the back of some good form and performances. It is good that I have been able to put up some good performances here. For me, its more of being of utility value to the team. I bat wherever the team wants me to and as the situation of the game demands. I am hoping I can turn on some more match winning performances soon,” he was quoted as saying by chennaisuperkings.com.

Due to increasing number of matches being played fitness of the player has become a key issue. However Bravo ensures that he hits the gym regularly to avoid inconsistency in fitness levels.

“I take my fitness seriously. Whenever I am on tour or travelling with the team, I make it a point to spend at least 30 minutes in the gym. I love weights and that’s the place for me. I find that is what works for me and no day is complete without a visit to the gym,” said the all-rounder.

Bravo ended on a candid note saying he loves to dance and listen to music in order to relax. “One of my favourite musicians is dance artist and Grammy award winner Beenie Man. I listen to his music a lot and I have had the pleasure of doing two songs with him. My ipad is my favourite companion and I also love shopping.” He concluded.
