Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Luke Pomersbach, who was accused of molestation, has confessed to his crime, stating that he might have touched the victim unintentionally, revealed police sources.
The Australian has also accepted of being in an inebriated state in an initial statement given to police.
According to reports, Luke accepted that he unintentionally touched the victim and when her fiancé Sahil came to intervene, Luke lost his cool and hit Sahil.
He then realised his action and came back to apologise. Police also said that Luke’s injured hand was during the altercation with the victim’s friend.
Meanwhile, Mumbai-based businessman Sahil Peerzada, fiancé of the victim Zohal Hamid will be discharged from the hospital later in the day.
Pomersbach, was earlier arrested on charges of molesting an American woman in a hotel on Thursday night, was on Friday granted interim bail for a day by a Delhi court.
There was drama during the 30-minute proceedings, when the 27-year-old batsman, playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore, in the IPL, complained of uneasiness and fainted while the victim broke down when she narrated the incident.
Policemen took him outside the court room and gave him water after which he regained composure to come back to the court room made stuffy by the crowd of lawyers, journalists and onlookers.
