Indian cricketer Suresh Raina feels that Indian Premier League is the best tournament in the world.
“It's (IPL) the most amazing tournament in the world among the ones I've played in. So many new players in the country have got a chance to play, they're making good money and there's opportunity to play alongside international players. What more could you ask for!"
Talking about controversies surrounding the tournament, Raina believes that with more people involved, more rumours would spread.
"Dus log honge toh dus tarah baatein ki bhi hongi," he was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
Raina remained upbeat inspite of Chennai Super Kings’ defeat in the final against Kolkata Knight Riders.
"I've played all the editions, scored the highest number of runs and also taken the maximum catches. We have been playing the finals for three years, and though we could not win it this year, it's been great," he reasoned out sportingly.
“You can't win each time, they played better than us that day," he added.
Talking about Bollywood and Cricket’s connection, Raina thinks it is good for the game and players involved with it.
"The celeb association," he says, "is good for the game. Till now celebs used to support players, they would support Sachin. But now, they're supporting teams, which is a good thing. They are even getting to know the game better. Nothing wrong with that,” he concluded.
