The cricket teams of India and Australia arrived at Hyderabad amid tight security on Wednesday for the second Test to be played from March 2.
The teams would start their practice on Thursday.
India won the opening Test in Chennai by eight wickets with skipper MS Dhoni scoring a historic 224.
Meanwhile, tight security arrangements are being put in place in the wake of the twin bomb blasts that rocked Hyderabad last week.
A team of officials from the BCCI and Cricket Australia has visited the stadium this week to look at the arrangements, particularly security.
