Indian cricketers, who were invited to the Kirribilli house for tea with Prime Minister Julia Gillard on the New Year day, were made to wait outside prime minister’s house for 10 minutes.
The programme at the Prime Minister's house was supposed to start at 2 pm (AET) and both the Indian and Australian sides were invited.
After practice, Indian cricketers reached the place little early and were asked by the security personnel’s to wait outside.
Finally the players were allowed inside the Prime Minister’s residence. In her speech, the Australian Prime Minister said, cricket is the most important thing in the country ahead of a lot of things.
India are to play Australia in the second Test in Sydney starting January 3.
