Chennai Super Kings (CSK) reach 110 for eight against Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the Indian Premier League match at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Chennai, put into bat, got off to a shaky start after Murali Vijay was run-out on the on the very first ball of their innings.
Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina got down to steadying the innings for the visitors but their partnership short lived after Morne Morkel had the former caught by Roelof van der Merwe.
Delhi bowlers continued to bowl disciplined line to have the Chennai batsman in trouble.
Departure of Plessis saw Chennai suffer a mini collapse as Delhi had Chennai reeling at 66 for 5.
Captain MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo joined forces to resurrect the innings for visitors.
The duo couldn’t manage much as the disciplined Morkel had Dhoni caught at long on as the India skipper tried to heave one for six.
The visitors were dealt with one more shock as Umesh Yadav pierced through the defence of Bravo.
Morkel was the pick of the bowlers for Delhi with figures of two for 19.
Earlier, Thunder storms delayed the start of the match.
Delhi were boosted by inclusion of Kevin Pietersen, Roelof Van der Merwe and Mahela Jayawardene in the playing XI, while Chennai have retained the side that played in their last match.
