Mumbai: Dec 22, 2012
MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina put on a 60-run stand off just 27 deliveries for the sixth wicket to help India set a target of 178 for England in the second T20 at Mumbai.
India seemed like they lost the plot in the middle overs as England bowlers tightened the noose and stopped the run flow, as they picked regular wickets until Dhoni and Raina took charge of the Indian innings.
Earlier, Indian batsman Kohli played a few stunning strokes to take India to 86 for three of 10 overs before he was trapped before the wicket by Stuart Meaker. Kohli walked back to a big applause from the stands as he entertained them with seven glorious boundaries in his innings of 38 from 20 deliveries.
A victory will take India to the number one spot in the ICC T20 rankings for the first time.
Brief Scores: India 177 for eight in 20 overs (MS Dhoni 38, Suresh Raina 35; Luke Wright 2 for 38, Jade Dernbach 2 for 37) vs England
