India reached a score of 250 runs for the loss of three wickets at Tea as Virender Sehwag departed after scoring 117 runs at Ahmedabad on Thursday. Riding on a blazing century by Virender Sehwag, India, earlier, crossed 200 in the second session after electing to bat first.
With this innings, Sehwag ended his two-year drought of centuries . He was eventually dismissed for 117 runs by Graeme Swann. Sehwag’s dismissal brought Sachin Tendulkar to the crease. He managed to score just 13 runs before Swann scalped his third wicket of the day.
With three wickets in the first two sessions, Graeme Swann became the most successful off-spinner for England surpassing Jim Laker.
Cheteshwar Pujara was unbeaten on 68 runs at Tea.
