India on day four reached a score of 147 runs for the loss of two wickets in the second Test against New Zealand at Bengaluru on Monday.

 

Earlier, rain had stopped play as India were chasing 261 to win the second Test.

 

Cheteshwar Pujara (41*) and Sachin Tendulkar (23*) are at the crease for India.

 

India need another 114 runs to win with eight wickets in hand.

 

At lunch, India reached 88 in the first session but lost both the openers in their run chase against New Zealand of day four on the second Test on Monday. 

 

New Zealand were all-out for 248 in the first session of day four, setting India a target of 261 in the second Test match at Bengaluru. 

 

Brief Scores: New Zealand 365 & 248 (James Franklin 41, Ross Taylor 35; Ravichandran Ashwin 5 for 69) lead India 353 & 147 for 2 (Cheteshwar Pujara 41*, Virender Sehwag 38, Gautam Gambhir 34; Jeetan Patel 1 for 17) by 114 runs.
