India reached the score of 115 runs for the loss of two wickets in run-chase against Sri Lanka on Wednesday as Sachin Tendulkar departed for 48 runs.

 

Earlier, India managed to restrict Sri Lanka to a score of 233 runs with the help of disciplined bowling and sharp fielding by youngsters roped in the team for the limited-over format.

 

Ravichandran Ashwin was the most successful Indian bowler who grabbed three wickets conceding 32 runs as Sri Lanka were not allowed to accelerate throughout their innings.

 

Zaheer Khan two early blows as he got rid of Upul Tharanga and Kumar Sangakkara at low scores.

 

Dinesh Chandimal (64) was the top scorer for Sri Lanka as others top-order batsmen failed to make a big score.

 

Virat Kohli was unbeaten on 44 runs with Rohit Sharma (10) joining him after Tendulkar departed.
