Steven Smith scored 41 and Michael Lumb contributed 28 as Sydney Sixers posted a total of 136 for seven against Mumbai Indians  in the Champions League T20 match at Durban.

Electing to bat first, Sydney Sixers' batsmen found it difficult to flourish against a disciplined Mumbai attack.

Mumbai pacers Lasith Malinga and Munaf Patel impressed with two wickets each, while Thisara Perera and skipper Harbhajan Singh claimed one each.

Steven Smith was the lone fighter for Sydney with his innings of 41, which included three boundaries.

The Australian side indeed missed the presence of all-rounder Shane Watson, who was called back by the country's cricket board a few days ago.

Brief Scores: Sydney Sixers 136 for 7 in 20 overs (Steven Smith 41, Michael Lumb 28; Munaf Patel 2 for 17, Lasith Malinga 2 for 36) vs Mumbai Indians
