Australia captain Michael Clarke on Monday admitted that England have played good cricket in home conditions after the hosts extended their lead in the series to 2-0 following the victory in the second One-Day International match at the Oval.

"England are playing very good one-day cricket," he said, citing home advantage as a 'significant factor'.

"It's no coincidence they've had so much success here in the past, especially of late,” he added.

Clarke also admitted that Australia have been inconsistent lately.

"We have been very inconsistent and we have made a point of working on that and trying to become a more consistent team,” Clarke was quoted as saying by Telegraph.

"We've got some more work to do," he concluded.
