Australian batsman Michael Hussey and spinner Nathan Hauritz have been ruled out from the upcoming World Cup due to injuries they suffered while playing the recently concluded the One-Day International series against England.
Batsman Callum Ferguson and spinner Jason Krejza will be replacing Hussey and Hauritz in the squad for the World Cup.
Hussey was hopeful to recover from the hamstring injury that he suffered, while Hauritz dislocated his shoulder while playing an ODI game against England on January 21.
Hauritz had a surgery and even started bowling in the nets, and claimed that he is fit up to 60-70 percent, which was not enough to convince the Australian selectors.
The World Cup begins on February 19, and Australia will play their first match against Zimbabwe on February 21 in Ahmedabad.
