Mickey Arthur, who became the first foreign-born Australian coach, said that he was gifted a t-shirt that read “Aussie Mickey” by Ed Cowan and Brad Haddin just a few weeks after Australia had drubbed India 4-0 in the Test series in January 2012.
"That was pretty special, almost a sign of acceptance, really," Arthur recalled.
Five months after holding the post as Australia’s coach, Arthur holds that moment as amongst the most special during his tenure in Australia.
The news.com.au web site quoted him, as adding, "It made me feel really good, it was so nice, really nice to get that. It was almost acceptance."
