Australian coach Mickey Arthur has heaped praise on captain Michael Clarke ahead of the One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against England, calling him a superb captain.
Arthur feels Clarke has done immensely well as a leader and can certainly leave behind a legacy as a great Australian captain.
He was quoted by Herald Sun as saying, "But since I've got to know him, see how he works and his drive to improve and succeed ... that puts him on a whole new level in my mind.
"He can certainly be the best batsman in the world. I think he can leave a real legacy of good Australian captaincy.
Arthur has been mighty impressed by the Australian captain’s attitude; he says Clarke represents Australian brand of playing cricket.
He said, "If you think of Australian cricket, you always think of positive play, you always think of batters hitting the ball, bowlers bowling with pace and fielders diving around and throwing hard.
"And he symbolises that brand of Australian cricket so much.
"He's outstanding. I think the way he's captained has been superb in my observation since I've come in."
