New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum won the toss and elected to field in their third and final Twenty20 international at the Eden Park in Auckland on Wednesday.
Star batsman Jesse Ryder came into the New Zealand side for the final match, whereas South Africa drafted in Robin Peterson in place of Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
