The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to seek the investigation details from Essex police involving Pakistani leg-spinner Danish Kaneria in connection to Pro40 one-day match against Durham in 2009.
The Essex police had earlier given a clean chit to the leg spinner along with teammate Mervyn Westfield.
But Kaneria has not been included in the national squad which forced him to file a petition in Sindh High Court against his omission from the national team.
The Sindh High court in Pakistan last month had ordered cricketer Danish Kaneria to give approval to the PCB to obtain the transcript of Essex police's questioning session with him.
Following the instructions, PCB legal adviser Tafazzul Rizvi, sought the relevant information from Essex Police officials.
"We contacted the CPS after the court orders," The Express Tribune quoted Rizvi, who returned from England as saying.
"The CPS then directed us to contact the Essex Police regarding the matter and we have now sought the details from them via email," said Rizvi who was in London to follow the spot-fixing hearing involving banned Pakistan cricketers.
Kaneria last played for Pakistan during the England tour in 2010. The next session of Kaneria’s case will be held on October 20.
