PMO tweet inspires BCCI to assert that Australian tour has vindicated MS Dhoni!

PMO tweet inspires BCCI to assert that Australian tour has vindicated MS Dhoni!

Inspired by the “vindication” of the Prime Minister by the Supreme Court as tweeted by the Prime Minister’s Office (@PMOIndia), the BCCI (@bcciindia) has tweeted that the recent all-round failure of Team India Down Under is, in fact, a vindication of captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

“We welcome the fact that the Test series and the T20 match, despite giving Team India a sound thrashing, have completely vindicated the Indian captain whilst appreciating the onerous duties of the team”, read the cryptic statement issued by the BCCI.

Later, while addressing the media, BCCI President, N. Srinivasan, defended the statement. “Look, the Prime Minister’s office has vindicated the PM, after being literally slapped with the Supreme Court’s verdict. So, when the Australian team is butchering the Indian team Down Under, why can’t I vindicate Dhoni!” asked Srinivasan.

When Dhoni was informed that the BCCI had vindicated him, his eyes lit up and he asked enthusiastically, “Win what?!”

Addressing the press, a cheerful Dhoni chimed, “Well of course, you know it is a really happy feeling being vindicated, even though I have no clue how. I would be really happy, you know, if someone could explain it to me!”

The beleaguered Indian cricketers also found unconditional support from choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan, who has slammed Australian captain. “Pup once told me that physical abuse was the worst way to settle scores, yaa. It means the attacker has either a personal or professional crisis going on. It saddens me to see him and his team doing the same to Team India! Poor things, yaa!” sniffed the mother of triplets.

Dhoni also found strong backing in his IPL hometown Chennai from the quarters of Tamil superstar T. Rajendar. “The vindication of the man who leads the syndication is a good indication!” exclaimed the master of rhyme and rhythm.

BCCI’s vindication of Dhoni seems to have encouraged several others to follow suit. Rumours are now doing the rounds that BJP President Nitin Gadkari will soon be vindicating sacked UP minister Kushwaha.

Inside sources say that DMK patriarch M. Karunanidhi too has asked his party to announce a statewide vindication of former Telecom Minister A Raja.

Meanwhile, tearaway pace bowler Vinay Kumar has renamed himself “Vindicated Kumar”.
