Zaka Ashraf, chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced that the maiden Pakistan Super League will be held in March 2013.
The event is expected to last for 15 days as Ashraf expressed hope of cricket returning to Pakistan.
PCB held a meeting to discuss the schedule of the tournament. According to Zee News, 30 matches between five teams will be played during the tournament and each team will be allowed to field three international players during a match.
Ashraf also admitted that the league will only be successful if several international cricketers participate in the tournament and the board has already taken steps to contact several of them.
