Pakistan were put to bat after Afghanistan won the toss. Pakistan made a total of 253 runs for six wickets in their innings.
Skipper Babar Azam, who was declared Man of the match, scored a magnificent 25 runs which included seven fours. Mohammad Nawaz scored 66 runs off 55 balls which included seven boundaries and a six.
In reply to Pakistan’s innings, Afghanistan managed to make only 144 runs and were dismissed inside 46 overs.
Hasmatullah Shaidi top scored with 50 runs for Afghanistan which included three fours.
Pakistan’s Zia-ul-Haq picked up four wickets, giving away only 30 runs. Zafar Gohar picked up two wickets for 25 runs.
