Cricket Australia (CA) Executive General Manager of Team Performance Pat Howard, on Sunday, reveled Michael Hussey will miss Australia's upcoming tour of the British Isles.
"Due to the premature birth of Mike Hussey's fourth child, CA supports Mike's request to remove himself from this tour for family reasons," Howard said was quoted saying by the official website of the ICC.
Mike Hussey said: "Due to our baby being born three months early, it is important for the family for me to be here at this time. It is always difficult to miss any tour for Australia and I thank CA for their understanding of our family's situation."
Peter Forrest was nominated as the standby player for the initial squad and as such the National Selection Panel has elevated him to the full touring squad. The team leaves this Thursday for England.
