Visakhapatnam: Sept 7, 2012

Rain may affect the T20 match between India and New Zealand with weather bureau forecasting heavy showers due to 'active monsoon activity'.

The conditions were good earlier in the day and both the teams had their net practice but it rained heavily in the evening.

According to the cyclone warning centre here, rains will continue for one or two days as the monsoon is very active.

An official from the centre apprehended that rains may disrupt the match on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the organisers expressed confidence about staging the match stating that they have taken all precautions and covered the pitch. (PTI)
